30 minutes today! listened to headfones and that worked out better.
fasting: 115 - I think too many sushi rolls last night. :( (bedtime was 155, kinda high as well!)
Sunday, looking at doing a longer day, hoping that some other friends will join us - its accessible by bart!
Last night, had one of these strangely surreal moments at a bar. I was waiting on byronium to meet me for dinner, and had gotten to the place early - walked into the bar, sat down, and started looking at their top shelf alcohol to figure out what I wanted. i order a margarita and this older gentleman with a faint irish accent offers to buy it for me. I politely say, "thanks, but no thanks," at which point he insists. I get angry at this and tell him, "please, I'd prefer to pay for my own drink," then when the drink arrives, he convinces the bartender to let him pay.
I'm now angry and uncomfortable, as he starts of course TALKING TO ME about how gorgeous I am and how he has a lot of indian friends, and then asks me how long I'd been here in the US. When I said I'd moved here before I was 1 years old, he announces to the bar that I'm OBVIOUSLY an American. I'm appalled. "why yes, I've been naturalized since I was 14 years old, thanks,"
He keeps telling me how he's not racist, which of course makes me think he is, and the look on my face must have shown this, because it gets a little over the top. STOP TOUCHING ME, you big jerk! he keeps tugging my jacket to make sure I'm listening to him. I give up; he's drunk, he wont stop, no one else will stop him, and other than causing a huge scene, getting up and moving away seemed the best option.
I did this, seething of course, that I had to move. :(
