short weekend notes
Jan. 17th, 2010 10:53 amFriday night - dinner with littletranquil and a class that made me cranky - will write more about that later.
Sat morning, haircut and color (whew, greys are hidden again!) and off to SeaBowl - for byronium's birthday bowling party! it was great fun, we had 4 lanes taken over, the kids were adorable, I took lots of terrible snapshots, and there was awesome chocolate cake with mocha buttercream icing from basmati.
Then the gang heads off to the City to Yield, where B selects a few bottles for us all to share, and picks up a few appetizers - so nommy! the cheese was great, tho I didnt write down what the blue was, it was tres yummy Also yum was the spinach dip! I really want to try and make a spinach dip inspired soup. :)
(only stress was then number of people who's positively RSVP'd and DIDNT SHOW UP! what's up with that? followed by the number of people who said maybe and never said yay/nay...)
But it worked out - llamaeyes, littletranquil and I managed to plan around this really well. (BIG thanks to them both on logistics, driving me around, and being willing to step up when I needed help.)
Grabbed a quick dinner at WhizBurger and watched the rest of the Big Lebowski (sp?)
off to bed, realized no bicycling today - its in the lo50's, raining, and I'm not comfortable enough with my skillz to manage in this weather yet.
Made plans for an auction to raise money for the Tour De Cure. Now to think of something safe I can invite my coworkers to attend. *grin*
I had a really lovely time at byronium's birthday! I hope everyone who attended did as well!
