Here's the thing -- a long walk, some food shopping and a nice breakfast surrounded by nice people does amazing things for one's outlook.

I put on my new sneakies and walked down the hill to the farmer's market about 5 blocks away. Got a bunch of fresh herbs and spices for T-day, as well as some organic apples (1.75 a lb. Sigh, not for much longer will I be eating organic apples!)

I didnt make it to the bicycle sale, mainly 'cause I think that I'll see about borrowing one to figure out the things I need to know, and walking seems like a better idea right now.

The walk up the steep hill was good until the last 50 feet. WOW, its steep. :) my calves feel tight, but the rest of me is happy, including my lungs. I'm really glad about that.

So starting yesterday, I'm going to walk every day, even if its just down the hill and back up again.

Its about 1.5 miles away from the local Trader Joe's. I think I'm going to try to walk to that with my friend on Tuesday and see how that goes. a 3 mile walk shouldnt kill us. :)
