Yesterday was P's birthday, and he wanted to keep things mellow, so I found myself in a Ralph's for the first time in forever buying more then Diet Pepsi...

I found a chocolate ice cream carvel cake. with LOTS of those black crunchies.

I also got a good slice of steak, and spicy sausages, since he loves to grill, a big platter of cut up veggies (rather then salad) and a hunk of spicy cheese, and two bags of pretzels and some soda...

oh, yea, and a spiderman balloon that said Happy Birthday...

hee! it was great arriving laden with food and presents and the balloon and then getting to sit back and let him grill as we ate all the veggies. Ice Cream Cake rocked and I, exhausted from work, lack of sleep, and some emotional upheaval ...

fell asleep curled up next to P, who wanted to watch all of the old star wars movies...

I woke up at 2 am to see him watching Return of the Jedi...
