oh, my aching head.

Quick synopsis of yesterday...
Ran over to Crago Racing to pick up a new battery for the t5. I owe those guys muffins or cookies or something. They rock!
Driving home, called my brunch date (more details in private later, but it was Quite Nice) and drove over to get them. We had brunch at Home on Hillhurst in Los Feliz -- omg. what great food! what a nice atmosphere. The mimosas were good too.
After brunch, not wanting to head home, I went to P's place to hang out for an hour before heading out for my tattoo appt. He gave me one of the stuffed animals I left at his place, which turned out to be a GOOD thing.
driving up to Santa Clarita, I'm in the fast lane, about to move over to get off on the 14, when I realize the car is making a funny noise. I heard a POP and then saw smoke and stuff coming out of the back, I managed to pull over about 7 lanes of traffic, (including the two heading up the big hill to the 14) and hope out to take a look.
My tyre had blown. In fact, at this point it had completely almost seperated off the rim... YIKES!
I was freaked out, and called J, 'cause she's had this happen before, but it was during a shoot, so I didnt get her. Called B, 'cause her husband and she were closer... no go. Called P, who was studying, and I managed to calm down enough while talking to him to get out, and clear out the trunk to get to my spare. I moved the car further over and then proceeded to change my tyre to the spare.
wow, how competant. how FUCKING damn scarey! Cars where whizzing by in the lane near me at 70+ miles per hour, 'cause they were climbing the hill to the long offramp onto the 14 north.
funny the things that run in your head when you are afraid. "Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram!" I used to say that when I was afraid of the dark, or frankly afraid of anything as a kidlet, and it seems those habits dont die.
Well, amazingly enough, I make it to my tattoo appt. ON TIME! wow. I had to wash up before he started, and when I explained what had happened, everyone commiserated. I guess its not just scarey for me!
Ok, I really like my tattoo artist, Adam Guyot of Eternal Art Tattoo up in santa clarita, but man, today was a MOFO. Maybe all the adrenline already running in my system, but this one HURT so much worse then anything else I have had done.
3 hours later, he looks at me and sez, "we can keep going," I said. I think I'm gonna die.
But already today, you can see how gorgeous it is! the blues/purples in the wolf, as well as the orange/red in the rocks is perfect.
Wuff! wuff!
Drove home slowly, freaked out some guys in a truck with a bike in the back 'cause I wasnt going over 60 mph, came home, moved the bikes around and parked in the garage, there were NO PARKING spaces around and I was too tired and annoyed to deal.
B and L called, and picked me up to take me to the party that night! whoohoo! I was pretty happy tho I had about 14 seconds to get ready and frankly, that showed. Tho I did look cute. :)
www.skinbeats.com were at the party, and definately worth checking out if you ar elocal and get the chance.
benzopyrene, ever hear of the band Muytator? The guy in Skin also plays in Muytator...
came home way too late, and fell over. Woke up at noon today and am off to put the battery in the bike to see if I can get it running for tomorrow.
