i've been poem virus'd.

I think that folks are going to have a very skewed version of the things I liked to read as a kidlet - but maybe that's ok. As I was pulling on my motorcycle boots this morning, this poem popped into my head, and the line I could remember was 'Boot, saddle, to horse and away, Rescue my castle before the hot day...'

So I looked it up, by Robert Browning, and I do remember racing around my backyard singing this to myself, hunting dragons and rescuing princesses.

III. BOOT AND SADDLE.

I.

Boot, saddle, to horse, and away!
Rescue my castle before the hot day
Brightens to blue from its silvery grey,

CHORUS.---Boot, saddle, to horse, and away!

II.

Ride past the suburbs, asleep as you'd say;
Many's the friend there, will listen and pray
``God's luck to gallants that strike up the lay---

CHORUS.---``Boot, saddle, to horse, and away!''

III.

Forty miles off, like a roebuck at bay,
Flouts Castle Brancepeth the Roundheads' array:
Who laughs, ``Good fellows ere this, by my fay,

CHORUS.---``Boot, saddle, to horse, and away!''

Who? My wife Gertrude; that, honest and gay,
Laughs when you talk of surrendering, ``Nay!
``I've better counsellors; what counsel they?

quick update.

Went to see Wolverine last night. I wont spoil it if you havent seen it...

But srsly, the only thing that kept me awake was Hugh Jackman constantly getting his sexy ass kicked.  I was sad that Gambit wasnt more handsome, or more creole... I was expecting more.

The problem was that I mistakenly got a huge thing of PEPSI soda instead of Diet Pepsi - the new logos look similar and I wasnt paying attention.

Felt like crap all day today, havent slept well since last week sometime. 

Basically came home, ordered delivery, called a few folks, and knitted watching bad tv until I passed out. I know, exciting.
