NYC ROCKS!

I havent been to the City in winter in ages. I havent seen Rockefeller Center in at least 15 years with the tree.
I took the train into Madison Square Garden, and walked up to Macy's store front, and looked into all their amazing window displays. Lots of litlte moving parts, and things to see -- was really detailed and lovely. Walked up 5th ave past Lord and Taylor's window display -- also amazing and lovely -- but very crowded. I didnt want to stand in line to see, so I just walked back and forth a few times. Then, Sak's 5th Ave! whoohoo! the line for that was CRAZY!
I found a Sabrett's stand almost right away and had my hot dog for lunch. So Good. I wanted another one, but was good!
Rockefeller Center, with the line of angels leading up to the big tree. Beautifully decorated as usual.
Now, its cold, and stupid me, forgot a hat and gloves. So I bought a set from a street vendor who flirted with me. I love NY -- the men hustling on the street are flirty and nice. Two guys tried to get me to come on their bus tours by flirting outrageously with me. I danced away. Flirting -- the art of making someone feel good and sexy!
I went to the MOMA store and found a ton of things I couldnt afford for my friends. I was sad. :( The shoe exhibit sounds so cool and the little shoes were adorable... at 30$ a shoe! doh! and its an ornament! But where else can I get a Ferragamo for 30bux? (ok, I didnt get one, but they were cool.)
I did find all their holiday cards on sale, so hopefully y'all will get holiday cards from me this year. :) I have to have something to do while I'm trapped at the uncle's place tomorrow.
THEN, off to times square. WHAT A SHOCK! gone was the seedy porno shops, and in was all the chain stores. Olive Garden, Bubba Gumps, Swatch, Toys R Us, a Hershey's store, MM's store, Billabong, Sunglass Hut.... otherwise_nyc calls! I meet her and her lovely hubby and we have a nice bit to eat and a couple of beers at... I've misplaced the card for the place, but it was good. Then they walk me to MSG again, and I end up on the fast train home!
Now, waiting for dumb movie to be over so I can hang with my folks,
