Buttermilk Cornbread

I had used a 9x9 pan, and it only took about 18 minutes at 450. Its crumbly, and yummy with a little butter and honey. I have a cornbread mold, and I'm going to try that tomorrow. (I'm with [livejournal.com profile] lil_brown_bat, and making plenty for stuffing...)

I also started a sponge for bread, its sitting on top of the stove raising. We'll see how I do for letting it raise and fall, as my bread book recommends.

Well, not quite, I mixed the whole wheat with half white flour. They came out great! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.

WHOOHOO! and the nice thing about baguettes is that it takes about 15 minutes to _bake_ them.

I'm going to try rolls with this dough next. They are really good!

I made a sponge last night and it helped it rise. :)
