organic fruits....

The nice thing about having Organic Express delivery is that now, I get to eat a yummy Satsuma Mandarin Orange, and I have two bananas for later.
I was reading a friend's post about MSG, and thinking about how I enjoy the taste of organic foods better -- much of what I made for thanksgiving and christmas was organic except the ham -- organic ham was 8 - 10$ a POUND. 80$ for meat seemed a little over the top, when I was also paying for a turkey as well!
I'm finding it is actually simpler to slice up a few veggies (or toss in a few frozen ones) and drop a couple of broken noodles into chicken broth for those nights I want to make soup for dinner rather then eat anything heavy or open up a can... maybe if I was better at cooking and freezing (and using the stuff outta the freezer!) I could do that with some soups.
(hrm, maybe canning soups?? like one does with veggies?)
