I had to be in pasadena at 8 am this morning, so like a good doobie, I'm in bed by 9 so I can get up at 5 to go to the gym.

that didnt work to well. My fasting BG was 250. Even tho bedtime blood sugar was 120 (late dinner, not so bad)

what the F?! I dont exercise when its that high, so I went back to bed until 6:30 and checked again. Still at 187 -- I'd thought maybe it was my dawn rise or something stupid, but man, no, its not.  Testing during today still has it high -- finally 30 minutes before lunch, its at 147.

That's a new one. I didnt miss a dose, I didnt miss any pills. I ate appropriately last night.

bah, humbug.

The good news is that my MOTORCYCLE is finally completely and utterly legal. I have the pink slip for it, its registered, and the fixit ticket has FINALLY been paid. Oh yea, that ticket? 10 bux. (that doesnt include the 250$ to get the damn pink slip, and get the lien cleared on it, but at least its done.)

Anyone want to buy a '98 Triumph Daytona made over to look like a speed triple? :)

Perhaps a liver dump from the shock of your alarm clock going off at 5am? I've had higher than normal numbers several times when I had to get up early to catch a flight.

Any chance that you're fighting off an infection?

In general, I find that any exception to my normal schedule of meal times, bed time, and waking up tends to cause higher blood sugar levels.
