and this one makes me think of my friends who are marines, and of
lil_brown_bat's comments earlier about some of the young men she knows who are joining up...
I dont know what you think of the controversy surrounding these photos -- but they are moving and powerful. Something hit me hard when I saw these. For years, I joked that if I hadnt gone to RPI, if I'd gone to Columbia University, that I'd be in Afghanistan and Iraq now, crawling around, taking pictures... but could that girl have watched these things and not been moved to do something _more_ then simply reporting?
and where does that leave me now, crawling around here and Not Doing Enough?
