Good Parts of the weekend
May. 14th, 2007 10:28 am(take two, as the computer ate the first one. :( )
Friday night, went to see Gregg playing at the Cat and Fiddle. Ran into former next door neighbor Coby and caught up on life, universe everything. Cat and Fiddle has hard cider on tap!
Saturday morning, went to the Farmer's Market. Missed miss phoenixdufeu (and apparently left her thinking I'd stood her up! bummer!) bought tons of good veggies and bread and stuffs, went to Millie's for pancakes and walked home. Napped and watched bad movies and then at 3 pm went to get my VIOLIN! after months she was ready to come home.
Great chatting with the luthier as usual -- he had just come back from up north picking up a Viennese-style 1800's piano made by an unknown Czech master -- the instrument was GORGEOUS, with lots of lovely brass inlay and beautiful abalone inlaid butterflies. I fell in love with the butterflies.
Came home and PLAYED my violin! whoohoo! drove roomie nuts, as the new bridge puts the strings slightly off, and I'm not used to it yet. LOUD, my lady macbeth, she is loud.
(*makes note to look up plenty of mozart!*)
Saturday night, went out to dinner with my friend Jodi, and then off to fun with LARAWW. We got jodi in trouble 'cause we stayed out too late, but it was well worth it. :)
Sunday, I wanted to go for a ride, but the bike wouldnt start. Needs a new battery, new rear tyre, and I should have the electrical issue looked into. Next paycheck!
So I played my violin and slept / napped some more.
Went to the hardware store and picked up some plants for my window boxes, and some tools and gloves to work with the dirt. Got some seeds for climbing plants like Hyacinth, Sweet Peas, and morning glories.
Sunday night had a hot date with P. :)
