Carpet Cleaner/ Steam Cleaner

Does anyone who lives locally to me, and reads my LJ, have a steam cleaner / carpet cleaner, they wouldnt mind lending me for a few days / a week?


and if not, any recommendations on a good one to purchase for under 300$? I'm thinking of just renting one from the store, but thought if someone had one I could borrow, that might be easier to break it down into smaller parts...

well, I think it will help my asthma if I clean the carpets once a month, but even tho I live in a fairly small apartment, that's a lot of moving of stuff all at once, with no real place to put it so I thought, if I owned one, I can move stuff from one side of the living room, and do the carpet, wait 'til it dries, move stuff, etc etc...
