Byetta takes less than 9 hours to be out of your system entirely, so this morning, I wake up, not feeling nauseated for the first time in almost 2.5 weeks. My stomach muscles still hurt from the crazy barf-fest that was Wednesday... I never thought I'd be _happy_ to be injecting insulin again.
I'm sad I couldnt make it work - it would have been nice to be able to eat more normally, and not on a schedule, and to be able to indulge in sweets instead of having to do what I normally do - eat about a 1/3 of any dessert in front of me, and stop...
BUT...
but I'm not giving up by any means. I was losing weight, and the numbers are in the right direction even on insulin, so its time to get back to that, eat right, exercise more...
AND:
omg.
I'm so happy today! The sun felt even shinier, and I felt so much more centered and content in my body instead of feeling like I was fighting it. I'm looking forward to bicycling this weekend with
byronium , without dreading that I'm going to be too nauseous and tired out. Leaning the motorcycle wasnt scarey because I was worried about being dizzy, and just moving around is such a pleasure again.
Amazing how a good, nay, great night's sleep and the support of loved ones, can help you thru. Thank you, all! :)
