w00t; another boring gym entry, only this time, I did it at home! Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] whipartist , and a small adventure crossing the bridge last night, I am the proud owner of a used lifecycle machine.  This hopefully wil work out a lot better with the 7 am meetings I'm being scheduled for. *sigh*

20 minutes, only 2 miles on the bike, but its a very different motion and the seat isnt quite set up the way I want yet.
Blood sugar: fasting 90, post workout 84; woke up at 0700, into work by about 0845. :)

(Oh, and riding in the rain, makes me thankful for the amazing awesome thoughtful wonderful holiday present from [livejournal.com profile] byronium  - waterproof jacket and pants and gloves. Sadly, my bag isnt so waterproof, tho my laptop was fine. I'm buying a new bag this weekend. Choice lands between Tom Bihn Ego, a TimbukTu, or Chrome. I'm getting SOMETHING this weekend, 'cause damp stuff isnt really a lot of fun.

About the bags -- test for waterproofness, even a "good" bag may not be. Also, non-waterproofness isn't a reason not to buy it if it's the right bag otherwise. If you think about the amount of water that a bag is subjected to during a hard rain, it's going to be damn hard to get it waterproof unless you use a drybag (and even then, you'll get leakage, plus a drybag is a colossal pain in the ass). So, if the bag isn't waterproof to start with, get a spray-on product and take additional precautions when riding in the rain.
